Winona-Ryder

Winona Ryder, professionally Winona Ryder was born on Winona Minnesota. The name she was given by her parents after the town in which she was born. Michel Horowitz was her father and Cynthia Palmer, his mother was both an author and editors. Ryder is Jewish. Ryder believes that her father was from an ethnically Jewish background. The actress is the sister to Uria and also has half-siblings Jubal & Sunyata. Ryder's family moved to Mendocino County in California when she was seven years aged. They were in a home that had no electric power. Ryder began to be a passionate book reader because there was no television. In 1983, when she was 12 years old, Ryder took up a place at the American Conservatory Theatre to take acting classes. After she reached the age of 15 Ryder landed a role in Lucas her first big film. Ryder was bullied at high school. Her performing career, she thought to help, could have helped her. Sadly that didn't happen. However, she remained committed to her goals. Her breakthrough came in 1988 with Tim Burton's Beetlejuice. Ryder played successful roles for many films. In 1993, she was nominated twice in the Academy Awards. One of was for her performance In The Age of Innocence.
